Ayaan Hirsi Ali

A Hirsi Ali la conoce hoy día casi todo el mundo. Pero en Holanda se habla mucho más sobre ella, de hecho muchas noticias que salen en la prensa holandesa tratan sobre ella, y no es extraño ya que esta mujer vive amenazada de muerte hace ya varios años.
Hay una página web holandesa llamada Ayaan Hirsi Ali web-log donde se tratan todas las noticias sobre Hirsi Ali. La página web acumula todas las noticias que vayan saliendo sobre ella en varios idiomas, en mayor medida en holandés e inglés, pero también aparecen de vez en cuando artículos en español.

Hoy, por ejemplo, leo que las amenazas no dejan de cesar; unos raperos (holandés) del grupo DHC, amenazaron en su día a Hirsi Ali via un rap en la que decían que la iban a romper el cuello y a bombardear la cámara baja, y fueron condenados a cumplir 150 horas de trabajos para la comunidad. Ahora han cumplido el castigo y han vuelto a amenazarla, en la pagina web del grupo aparecen fotos de Hirsi Ali con palabras alrededor como 'Game Over', 'Fuck Ayaan Hirsi Ali', 'Fuck you bitch'.

En la misma página, la de Hirsi Ali, también me encuentro con un enlace a otra página que lucha por los derechos de la mujer en el Islam, Sura4. Que emiten este comunicado con unos puntos bastante coherentes y respetuosos, a mi parecer:

FREE WOMEN ARE THE GREATEST GIFT TO THE WORLD

First, we should exclude impression, that we are against Islam. Because it is not against any religion, but against some its aspects, that cannot be accepted by any mature Western democracy. We support Muslim movements, that similarly as Christians in the past, want to interpret their holy writings in a critical way and refuse such interpretation, that violate human - especially women - rights.

Second, we accept cultural differences and richness. However we have to remember about qualities that consist on our European identity. Some of them, as basic freedoms so important to our societies, are enclosed in The Bill of Human Rights. And maybe everyday we are not aware of its importance, we have to realize, that it is impossible to create in Europe multicultural society without common acceptance to above mentioned freedoms.

Third, we are aware that family violence and abusing women rights is problem of all European countries. However, we want to make a distinction between the situation where the cause is social pathology, from those that are accepted by tradition or religion.
